Giving thanks

for you.

This weeks inspiration was giving thanks. What a wonderful idea.

To stop and think what are you grateful for.

I am thankful and grateful for so many things.  Where to begin?  My health and life (when I can bear to watch the evening news at least one story makes me thankful for where I live and the easy life I have compared to the latest disaster that some people are living through).  But apart from that I really don't stop and find things to be grateful about,  to record and ponder and acknowledge in my sad little head. You know,  just the every day little lovely things. I recently heard that one of the ways to ensure happiness is to stop and list three things that you are grateful for each day. I really need to do that, perhaps it will help...

Anyway after much thinking during the week I chose my sister. I am so grateful for her, to have her in my life.  For her love and friendship. Simple as that really. See you Sunday sis xox

I love my sissy to death too! Don't sisters bring so my joy. I also really liked the idea of writing 3 things a day to be thankful for, that will really get me counting my blessings. You have a lovely weekend as well :)

Although I don't have a sister, I do have a wonderful brother and, like you, I am really grateful to have him in my life.

I'm loving the photo of the two of you = joy.

Very beautiful! Sisters are wonderful and so are brothers. I wish I could see mine more often. I like the idea of writing 3 things you are grateful for. I think I will add that to my morning journaling:)

That really is heart-felt. Sister's are wonderful. I have an older brother and a younger sister. Without my sister I'm sure I'd be mad by now... I miss her as she lives in Brisbane and I'm in Sydney. We've had our fights over the years but our relationship now we're older is incredibly special. And one I'm grateful for! I hope you have a great day today with her. Also, there is a brilliant show that just started last week on the ABC at 8:30 on Monday nights about happiness. So, so interesting. Pxxx

Lucky you, what a gorgeous picture. It's too easy to take the simple everyday treasures in life for granted isn't it..making a note of just a few each day is a lovely idea.

While lamenting over my son and his family living 1500 miles away in Kansas (We live in Florida) my husband gently reminded me (or not so gently) of how blessed my life really is!
Your comments about your sister were touching. I have 2 sisters that I cherish and am so very grateful for each of them and how they have enriched my life!

There truly is so much to be thankful for...we just have to take the time to realize it. I often get so caught up in my day and my problems that they seem to be all that I can see but, when I do list things that I am grateful for my whole attitude changes. I too need to write down three things I am thankful for each day. I really think that would help me focus on the positive. I love how you've displayed the picture of you an your sister when you were younger and now in the present...priceless. My sisters are my best friends. ♥
