Silence, well not really, but sort of quiet.

What a silly post title. Kind of matches my silly mood.

You see I have been fighting a chest infection for a week.  Or so the doctor told me yesterday, when Husband insisted on taking me to visit the expensive Sunday doctor. So with a few prescriptions to assist with said fight I will hopefully be on the mend soon.

Anyway the point of this ramble is that, this is the first time I have been back at my computer so I finally have access to my images and can read your beautiful blogs and browse the net easily. I have been visiting blogs and browsing the net from my phone and ipad, however it is just not the same. I think I have mentioned this previously. I get a bit frustrated, no doubt it is user error on my part.

I find all this forced 'rest' really isn't that good, see previous cabin fever post.  Don't get me wrong I am all for sleep ins and endless movies and hours spent in Photoshop with my latest little project, however not when I feel like this.

I find it very boring and definitely not restful. My mind starts making those horrid 'to do's' and I feel overwhelmed by all the things I need to get done. Then,  I torture myself with thoughts of my failures to finish things...

Currently, while I sit here in the messiest house in town,  I am concerned about the following failures:

1. Endless things that we need to do around home.
2. This Project has stopped again.
3. My overflowing inbox at work.
4. Why I am not at MONA today, as I had planned.
5. Why I have not starting uploading images to my Flickr account (though a lovely lady who I call a friend recent experience makes me think that it is not the kind online community I thought it was.  I  only like joining kind online communities.).
6. See 1 above and repeat but with a new failure added ...

My mind is such an exhausting place some times.

So I will stare at these flowers for a while I find them soothing (even the dead flower heads) and find some beautiful blogs to distract me and then maybe some online window shopping xox

Oh I do hope you feel better asap! It's lovely to have time to do things but not when it is enforced time and you feel terrible - I know exactly what you mean :)

Go with flickr - despite the current angst (which I think is more a personal vendetta by someone I used to know rather than anything random), it is a great online community. And hey, it's how I met D! :)

Such a pretty photo, too. Cosmos are one of my favourite flowers :)

Oh my friend..do get better fast! I know the feeling of cabin fever...I was stuck at home for 3 weeks because of my silly back. Plus it is still on the mend so have not vaccumed in 5 weeks...shhhhh...please don't tell anyone...I just don't look down at my floor. No other family member seems to be jumping at the chance to do it ...in fact they don't even see that it needs it.
Hugs to you....all will get done in due time. Your health is more important right now.

Doing nothing is only fun when it's your choice, not when you're forced to. Hope you're feeling better.

I have getting photos sorted on my To Do list as well. They're four years old now and still sitting in their packets from the camera shop. I want to do it, but the job is so big that it's overwhelming. One day ...

I just stumbled upon your blog and this post touched me. I hope you're feeling better, but know that there are many of us out there that know how you feel. I was in the hospital recently and recuperating and so my house was a mess too and I didn't have the energy to do anything but veg in front of our T.V. Sometimes, it's just necessary. :-)

Wishing you to get better soon.
